Overview
The alpaca feeder is built purposely for alpacas and takes into account alpaca needs. The feeder provides more than just easy feed access for alpacas. It aids to maintain a cleaner, safer environment for your alpacas and helps to reduce your feeding costs.
Cleaner & Safer Environment
By limiting the feed that reaches the ground, the feeder helps alpacas stay cleaner which in turn reduces preparation time for shearing and showing.
Reduced Feed Costs
By being covered, the alpaca feeder can be placed outside and still help protect the feed from the elements.
The large feeder offers 10 feed bay areas over 2 sides, whilst the smaller feeder offers 6 feed bay areas.
The design is based upon a 3 point ground contact structure; 2 at the rear and 1 wide contact point at the front, which greatly reduces the possibility of rocking or instability on any surface type. You can view these feeders at work on our own alpaca farm, which is both sloped and undulating.
All alpaca feeders come with removable bases for easy cleaning.

The feeder is constructed with 125mm x 19mm (5 x 7/8) ship lap,on 47mm x 47mm (2 x 2) framework.
Roof Construction
The roof is constructed with 125mm x 19mm (5 x 7/8) ship lap,on 47mm x 47mm (2 x 2) framework. The roof is hinged on one side and opens fully to allow for easy access. The roof also has a safety latch mechanism that prevents any unwanted closure during the filling process.
Mobility
All alpaca feeeders come with handles which allow for easy 'hands on' movement of your feeder. Large feeders also come with a retractable draw bar for towing by tractor or quad, but are just as easily moveable by hand be it empty or full.
Treatment
All timber is maintenance free for life, having been pressure treated at source.
